US Swimming Chooses World-Renowned Strategic Messaging Company for Groundbreaking Event
On December 16th (6.30 pm EST) and 17th (2 pm EST), 2011, globally renowned interactive African drumming phenomenon and corporate employee retention facilitator, Drum Cafe, will make history with US Swimming as it sets the tone for the Mutual of Omaha Duel in the Pool competition.
The Duel in the Pool - an international-level swimming competition which first pit all-stars from two nations to see which is the best across a series of events in 2003 – was held between the USA and a European All-Star team, named the “E-Stars” - in 2009. The event this week will be a re-match and will take place at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center on the Georgia Tech Campus, Atlanta, GA.
Drum Cafe has been given the honor and privilege of welcoming American and European Olympic swim teams, their entourages, guests and the world’s media to the event. The Drum Cafe team will ignite the stadium in a rousing, passionate opening performance with two shorter pieces of drumming following the opening ceremonies to entertain the audience scheduled during the live television coverage commercial breaks on both event days.
Drum Cafe owner, Alain Eagles, will lead his international performance team of seven comprised of a combination of talent including South African and West African master musicians and dancers in an “experiential” exercise of wordless wonderment, where movement and music will lift energy levels, breathe brilliance into the spirit of competition, create unabashed awe among those in attendance, and drive home the feeling of positive energy for all present. The audience will welcome the visiting international athletes and their US challengers with an interactive, energizing percussive “tribal tattoo” led by Drum Cafe where a “duel of sound” will set the tone for the spirit of competition for the “duel in the pool.”
The raw force, energy, sound, and emotion of 3,500 participants beating a single celebratory rhythm each day orchestrated by Drum Cafe will leave everyone energized, connected, emotionally charged, and feeling the power of making music as “One Tribe, One Team” so that “the games can begin.”
Swim teams will be comprised of past and present male and female Olympians, the fastest swimmers and the finest coaches the world over, all of who will compete for prizes and recognition.
