In the wake of suffering that still hovers over Houston, Texas as a result of the devastation from Hurricane Harvey, Award-Winning Chef Stephanie Guidry, who hails from Delaware, will gather a team of the finest local and national chefs and cooks from the East Coast and South for a humanitarian relief effort. A state-to-state caravan to converge upon Houston will depart Delaware on November 27, 2017 to arrive Houston on December 3rd, 2017. On December 6, 2017 through December 8, 2017, they will prepare and serve thousands of hot healthy meals to those in transition from the effects of Hurricane Harvey.

Chef Stephanie Guidry responded when asked “Why Houston; why now?” “I have roots in Houston. I began planning this humanitarian effort last month. For me it’s all about giving back. Preparing and sharing delicious hot healthy meals is something that I’ve done for years. Bringing people together and seeing the smiles on their face, and the laughter that fills the air while breaking bread, really does hold a special place in my heart. Celebrity Chef Amadeus, Food Network’s Extreme Chef Winner, has similar sentiments and will join me, as will others with like minds and hearts.”

Chefs from Delaware and Florida will combine their culinary expertise and take part in this inaugural initiative. Chefs from other states will become a part. It is the goal of this relief mission to prepare and serve 2,000 hot healthy meals. In collaboration with the Alter Worship Center, a host facility has been made available to this mission of love. This initiative will co-host a Holiday Brunch and Toy Giveaway.
