Publisher’s Weekly Honors Trice Hickman
Publisher’s Weekly, The International News Magazine of Book Publishing and Bookselling, has given DC Author Trice Hickman a starred review for her debut novel, Unexpected Interruptions.

Washington, DC’s reading community helped bring Ms. Hickman to literary fame. She self-published this title three years ago under her own small press Platinum Books. Since then she has won the 2008 African American Literary Award for Romance and became a premier book selection for Black Expressions, a national book club company with a membership of over 450,000 readers. In 2010 she signed a three book contract with Kensington Publishing Corp, the last remaining independent U.S. publisher.
Last weekend Ms. Hickman keynoted the Black History Month Reception for The Patterson Branch Library in Lubbock, Texas. This month she will be the Keynote Speaker for the Women’s History Month Celebration sponsored by the Shugart’s Women’s Center of Forsyth Technical College in Winston-Salem, NC.
