Recently I read a NY Daily News article by #StanleyCrouch entitled ‘Soul Food is Killing Black America,’ I must say, I was a bit mystified by it. Here I am trying to elevate Soul Food in America and the World and ole Stanley is spewing snake venom in the press. African Americans should know better. Apparently he does not. Today you gone learn! Too many have duplicated this perilous and dangerous language in the media with no evidence to substantiate it. The Truth is; Soul Food may be the Healthiest Food on the Planet”.

After years of planning and months of anticipation, V. Sheree Publishing announced the premiere print issue of Cuisine Noir, the first magazine to showcase African-Americans in food, wine and travel, on Monday, September 26.

Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks and Burger King also leading national breakfast brands

People who enjoy fast food breakfast are 16 percent more likely than the average adult to be a member of Generation Y (ages 18-29). Adults who live in households with annual incomes of $100K+ and those who have a college education or advanced degree are more likely to dine at fast food restaurants for breakfast than consumers from lower or less-affluent income brackets. Fast food restaurant diners are 13 percent more likely to be African-American and 11 percent more likely to be Hispanic.

On July 23, 2010, the PlantMasters Flower Farm, 22617 Griffith Drive, Laytonsville, Maryland, will become the hub for a lavish five-course, seated dinner for 75 people. The dinner will feature wine pairings, specialty hors d’oeuvres and fine cuisine from renowned chefs, including Steven Lukis of Wildfire, Gregg Greenberg of RSVP Catering, Stefano Frigerio of the Copper Pot Food Company, and Patricia Jinich from the Mexican Cultural Institute.
